As successors to the award-winning G2 series, these new monitors promise to deliver an upgraded gaming experience for enthusiasts and esports competitors alike.  Among the first members of the G4 series to arrive at VIP were the [AOC 27G4XE](https://www.vip-computers.com/uk/shop/product.aspx?product=124927) and the [AOC Q27G4X](https://www.vip-computers.com/uk/shop/product.aspx?product=124737), two stylish Fast IPS monitors that are raising the bar for entry-level gaming. ###### **Visually Appealing** Everything in the G4 series, from design to performance, has been taken to the next level. Sporting a redesigned look, inspired by the sharp lines and unconventional shapes of a stealth aircraft, the rear of these monitors are adorned with dark grey accents and a series of triangular shapes that come together for a modern and sleek aesthetic. These budget-friendly gaming monitors also feature a more compact base than previous models, opting for a new hexagonal design that leaves more desk space for mice, keyboards, and streaming accessories. ###### **Powerful Performance** The improvements aren’t just cosmetic, the panels and performance have also been upgraded for this generation of monitors. Featuring 180HZ refresh rates and 0.5ms (MPRT) response times, these displays offer a competitive gaming experience worthy of a professional stage. Their Fast IPS panels deliver consistent colours and wide viewing angles that, in combination with their adaptive sync compatibility, produce vivid and crisp images no matter how intense the on-screen action gets. ###### **Ergonomically Exceptional** Comfort is at the heart of the G4 monitor series, and that is thanks to their multifunction ergonomic stand. While the [27G4XE](https://www.vip-computers.com/uk/shop/product.aspx?product=124927) offers gamers vertical and horizontal tilt options, the [Q27G4X](https://www.vip-computers.com/uk/shop/product.aspx?product=124737) offers height, swivel and pivot adjustability, granting users the ability to adjust the height, angle and orientation of the screen above it. This compact ergonomic stand promotes healthy posture and safe viewing distances. Additionally, the G4 series retains the 3-sided borderless design that helped its predecessors become ideal for multi-monitor setups. ###### **The Details** While they may share a lot of similarities, the [AOC 27G4XE](https://www.vip-computers.com/uk/shop/product.aspx?product=124927) and [Q27G4X](https://www.vip-computers.com/uk/shop/product.aspx?product=124737) offer gamers different ways to enjoy their games. The 27G4XE is one of the best 1080p gaming monitors available at the moment, especially for those looking to game on a budget. For gamers who don’t mind paying a bit more or are simply looking for the best gaming monitor at a higher resolution, the Q27G4X makes a great case for itself. **[124927](https://www.vip-computers.com/uk/shop/product.aspx?product=124927) - [AOC 27G4XE 27" IPS Gaming Monitor](https://www.vip-computers.com/uk/shop/product.aspx?product=124927)** [**![AOC-GAMING\_27G4XE\_KV](https://blog.vip-computers.com/hs-fs/hubfs/AOC-GAMING_27G4XE_KV.jpg?width=1200&height=628&name=AOC-GAMING_27G4XE_KV.jpg)**](https://www.vip-computers.com/uk/shop/product.aspx?product=124927) **Resolution:** 1920 x 1080 (FHD) **Refresh Rate:** 180Hz **Response Time:** 0.5ms (MPRT) **Brightness:** 300 cd/m² **Connectivity:** HDMI 2.0 & DisplayPort 1.4 Looking at these technical specs raises questions like: is 180Hz good for gaming? Using its 81.6 pixels per inch (PPI) to the fullest, the 27G4XE delivers outstanding performance in colour reproduction and contrast ratio that ups the visual ante, while the 180Hz refresh rate keeps things smooth and responsive for all-round gamers.
